Beyond photorealism.

Toon Shading
Create stylized, non-photorealistic renders with ease using Corona’s new Toon and Outline materials. Cartoon-style renders can be helpful in the early stages of a project, when you don’t yet want to commit to specific materials, or serve as an artistic choice in the later stages. The Toon and Outline materials are separate, giving you full control over the effects you apply to your scene. You have the flexibility to add outlines and/or toon shading to your entire scene or apply them only to selected objects.
Real-time meets photoreal.

AI Enhancer
Chaos AI Enhancer is now accessible within Corona, allowing you to easily improve the look of people and vegetation without making unnecessary changes to the architecture, furniture, and other important aspects of your renders.

Firefly removal
Use the new Firefly removal options in the render settings to reduce or remove bright pixels (fireflies) which might appear in your scenes and animations. This feature comes in Simple and Advanced modes, where Simple detects and removes all fireflies, while Advanced does an even better job of maintaining the specular highlights you want in your scene.
Faster design and limitless creativity.

Scatter Clusters
Achieve the desired look of your renders faster than ever, thanks to Scatter’s new Clusters, which allow you to group various scattered objects. Scatter Clusters have 3 modes: use Generate mode if you want to create clusters based on noise calculations. Color map mode allows you to choose which objects should appear within the different colors of your map. With Layer paint mode, you can define which objects belong to a particular layer and paint those layers directly into 3ds Max (coming soon for Corona for Cinema 4D).

Thin Film layer
Add a touch of iridescence with ease. The new Thin Film layer makes it simple to create realistic rainbow effects on oily surfaces, soap bubbles, anodized metal, dichroic glass and more. Just tweak the Thin Film parameters in the Corona Physical Material and you’re good to go.

Initial support for Cosmos Asset Variations
Explore the Chaos Cosmos library and find the perfect asset variation for your scene. Selected 3D vegetation and people assets now include multiple options, such as summer or autumn leaves, and different clothing variations, so you can match your scene’s style or season effortlessly
Better interoperability and team collaboration.

Import .vrscene from Enscape (initial implementation)
You can now import a .vrscene from Enscape and use Corona as your photoreal rendering engine. This enables smoother collaboration and easier file exchange between tools. In this initial implementation, V-Ray must be installed (any license will work—an active license is not required).
