SAPFire^® Analysis Engine

CSI solvers have been tried and tested by the industry for over 45 years. The SAPFire Analysis Engine can support multiple 64-bit solvers for analysis optimization and can perform both eigen analysis and Ritz analysis. Parallelization options are available to take advantage of multiple processors.

Smooth DirectX Graphics

DirectX graphics mode are now enhanced to use DirectX 11 for increased speed and capabilities. DirectX 11 graphics allow for swift navigation of models and fast rotations.

Interactive Database Editing

CSI software stores model data and other information in database tables which may be edited directly through interactive database editing. This powerful feature allows models to be developed or edited quickly.

Foundations, Basemats and Footings

SAFE is ideal for modeling foundations, basemats, and footings. Easily model soil supports and zero tension soil models with uplift analysis. The area assignment of soil supports is based on the subgrade modulus, and they automatically adjust whenever the mesh changes. Basemat foundation models can include pedestals, walls, columns, beams, and piles in addition to the foundation area.

Modeling

Nonlinear features include a number of nonlinear building components such as frame hinges, shear walls, dampers, braces, and seismic isolators.

Drawing Capabilities

Piping and structural frame models can be rapidly created and modified using CAD-like drafting tools which snap to objects, grid intersections and global axes. In addition, CSiPlant offers automatic alphanumeric labeling of node points and elements, intuitive Insert and Assign commands, and keyboard shortcuts, enabling engineers to utilize a variety of modeling options to quickly build, modify, and review their analysis models.

Design and Analysis Capabilities

Design columns in accordance with user-specified codes.

Users have full control over what model data gets transferred and how that data gets mapped to equivalent objects in either software.

CSiXRevit^TM requires its own license to run.

Structural modeling can be done in ETABS^®, SAP2000^® or SAFE^® or in Revit^® and then later be synched up.

Import From ETABS, SAP2000 or SAFE

During import, you have full control over what objects are imported and what drawing views are generated. Data in the CSiXCAD BIM model is defined only once and any changes to a structural item in a drawing are reflected on all drawings where that item is shown.
