Bluebeam’s new premium plan is now available globally, featuring advanced automation, smart markups, and AI-powered reviews to help teams build faster, work smarter, and reduce risk.
Pasadena, California – May 19, 2026 — Bluebeam, a leading provider of solutions and services for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals worldwide and part of the Nemetschek Group, today announced that Bluebeam Max is now available to all its customers globally. AEC teams can now upgrade to a premium plan that combines AI-powered automation with next-generation review tools.
First unveiled at Bluebeam’s Unbound 2025 conference, Max was available to a select group of customers through a beta program, where it delivered strong results from the outset. Now generally available, Bluebeam Max extends the power of Bluebeam Revu with advanced automation and AI tools that help AEC teams reduce manual work, lower financial exposure through early error detection, and improve collaboration throughout the entire project lifecycle.
“AI is ushering in a new era for the built environment: one where complexity becomes manageable and data becomes action ,” said Usman Shuja, CEO of Bluebeam. “Bluebeam Max is designed to empower every user to operate like a superuser, integrating intelligence into everyday workflows and seamlessly connecting PDFs with BIM. The result is a more connected and productive project experience, where teams can focus less on managing information and more on delivering results.”
Smart tools designed for real work
With this launch, current Bluebeam customers can now upgrade their plan and access the following features included in Bluebeam Max:
- Revu + Anthropic Claude via MCP : allows the use of natural language commands to automate repetitive tasks and transform markup data into actionable information.
- Stitching : Automatically combines multiple plan sheets into a single, navigable, and scaled view, ideal for large infrastructure projects.
- Magic Markups : Automates repetitive marks and reduces manual clicks, making takeoffs faster and more accurate.
- Smart Overlay : allows you to quickly identify design changes and discrepancies across entire sets of drawings and between disciplines.
- Smart Review : provides clear and actionable information on design discrepancies, scope gaps, and missing information to detect problems early and avoid costly setbacks.
- Connected Studio Sessions with Revit : Links Bluebeam marks directly to the correct point in plan and model views in Revit, for efficient collaboration between PDF and BIM.

Real impact on AEC teams
Early adopters of the beta program —more than 2,000 participants— reported significant productivity improvements, with several describing Max as a true “game changer” for their review and planning workflows.

Martin-Harris Construction
One of the most notable stories from the beta program is that of Martin-Harris Construction, a Las Vegas-based construction management firm that consistently ranks among the top 10 general contractors in the southwestern United States. Their beta users leveraged Bluebeam Max to optimize complex project plans across multifamily, industrial, educational, healthcare, and high-rise developments. The team used Smart Overlay and Smart Review to compare revisions, analyze cost impacts, and focus attention on critical issues during both the design and construction phases.
“Bluebeam is already the backbone of how we review and collaborate on projects, but Bluebeam Max takes it to another level ,” said James Miranda, Director of Preconstruction at Martin-Harris Construction. “Features like Smart Overlay allow us to instantly see what has changed and where to focus our efforts, which is critical when managing complex projects at scale. As AI capabilities continue to evolve, this has the potential to significantly reduce manual effort and free up our teams for higher-value tasks.”
KPFF Consulting Engineers – Los Angeles Civil Office
At KPFF LA Civil Office, a leading civil and structural engineering firm, teams are already using the new features to streamline day-to-day design tasks and reduce manual work.
“Even small improvements can have a big impact on our workflows ,” said Dillon Wilke, Associate and early adopter of Bluebeam Max at KPFF LA Civil Office. “Features like Offset reduce the need to return to CAD for certain tasks, especially when working with parallel utilities or curved geometry. What previously required multiple manual steps can now be done much more efficiently in one place.”
